On the morning of March 27th, 2024, in order to implement the Memorandum on Deepening Cooperation between China Council for the Promotion of International Trade （CCPIT）and the People's Government of Hainan Province, and to further serve the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port, Wang Chengjie, Deputy Director and Secretary-General of CIETAC, and his delegation visited and researched in Sanya at the invitation of the Municipal Government of Sanya , and held a conference with Yin Chengling, Vice Mayor of Sanya City People's Government.

During the meeting, Mr. Wang Chengjie, the Secretary General of CIETAC, introduced the history of CIETAC as one of the first-class international arbitration institutions, the development of CIETAC in recent years and the establishment of CIETAC Hainan Arbitration Center. CIETAC Hainan Arbitration Center is established by CIETAC for the implementation of the national construction of Hainan Free Trade Port. The establishment of CIETAC Hainan Arbitration Center helps to introduce CIETAC's high-quality dispute resolution resources into Hainan and to provide solid legal protection for the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port. He said that Sanya is the most important place for the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port, and that Sanya is not only the key area for the development of Hainan Free Trade Port, but also the frontier for Hainan to build a new high ground for opening up to the world. CIETAC pays great attention to and supports the development of Sanya, and hopes to make joint efforts with the Sanya Municipal Government to go deeper and more practical in deepening reforms in all aspects and constructing a high level of opening up of the Free Trade Port to the outside world.

Vice Mayor Yin Chengling warmly welcomed the arrival of Secretary General Wang Chengjie and his delegation, and deeply recognized the international reputation and arbitration credibility of CIETAC. She emphasized that since the implementation of the major strategy of Hainan Free Trade Port, Sanya's economy has been developing rapidly, with obvious progress in the trade and financial industries. Well-known domestic and international famous enterprises, fund management companies, financial and legal service institutions has been moving in one after another, high-tech scientific research platforms gradually enriched and perfected, and the intellectual property rights protection work has featured numerous highlights. Sanya has huge potential and broad prospects for development, and it is hoped that CIETAC can support Sanya in building an international dispute resolution highland, upgrading the level of the local legal service industry, and promoting Sanya's internationalization development. Sanya Municipal Government is willing to cooperate with CIETAC in improving the multi-disputes resolution mechanism, promoting the concept of arbitration, improving the business environment and so on, to make joint efforts for the development of Hainan Free Trade Port.

After the meeting, Secretary General Wang Chengjie and his delegation had an in-depth exchange with Fang Yulai, President of Sanya Council for the Promotion of International Trade (SCPIT). The two sides exchanged views on how to give full play to the role of the Sanya Liaison Station of the Hainan  Arbitration Center of the CCPIT, synergize the dispute resolution services in Sanya and improve the legal work mechanism of the Hainan trade promotion system.

In conjunction with the meeting with the Sanya Municipal Government, Secretary General Wang Chengjie and his delegation also went to the Sanya Central Business District for an inspection, to learn about the development status and planning of the park on the spot, and had exchanges and discussions with the relevant personnel.
